Vintage Thingie Thursday: Bulldog
This darling Bulldog, that I have named "Spike", is part of my green depression glass collection. He was made by Greensburg Glass Works and is a very cool art deco design ashtray. I am sharing him for Vintage Thingie Thursday hosted by Coloradolady. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!

Reprise Loves: Green Depression Glass
I grew up with a mom who loves antiques. We spent lots of time going to garage sales, thrift stores, antique stores and auctions. So, it was natural that I would love vintage items too.
My mom has collected green depression glass for over 40 years. This past summer I went to visit her and she said that the collection was now mine! I was able to bring some of the collection home with me in my carry on bag on the plane. Over the next couple of years I'll do the same each time I visit. I really don't want to ship such precious items and chance anything getting broken. It may take me awhile to get it all back to my house since it is about 500 pieces of green depression glass. I am so proud and excited to be the keeper of my mom's collection and I look forward to passing it down to my own children someday. Thanks mom! :)
Did your mom pass down any special vintage item to you? Do you collect antique glass? I'd love to hear your stories.
