Rednesday: Old Disney Movie

Before the days of video cameras there were film cameras. I was born in the 1950s and my grandparents had a 8mm movie film camera and projector. They passed both down to me along with old family movies. I also have old cartoon 8mm movies like this Disney one. Love the nostalgia things like this movie bring to me. Happy Rednesday everyone!

Rednesday: Childhood Friend

One of my favorite dolls when I was growing up was Penny Brite. She always puts a smile on my face. Do you have a favorite childhood toy that still brings a smile to your face?

Rednesday: A Few of My Favorite Things

For Rednesday I thought I would share a few of my favorite things. Having grown up with a dad who was a drag racer I have many fond memories of spending weekends at the race track. So of course, classic cars and hot rods take me back to those great memories with my dad.

Here in California we are blessed with some really nice beaches. I always feel refreshed after spending time at the beach. My favorite beach is in Coronado. Here is a photograph of the beautiful and historic Hotel Del Coronado.

What woman doesn't like flowers? I chose this photograph not only because they are red roses but because of the sunlight that shines on them. Hopefully it will bring a little 'sunshine' to you today too.

Rednesday: Fall Colors

Last fall I was able to take my vacation in beautiful and historic Virginia. I went in October when the fall colors were in 'full bloom'. Being a California girl I was so happy to experience the beauty of the changing season. This first photo was taken on my tour of "The Wilderness" battleground.
The next two photographs I took on the grounds of James Monroe's Oak Hill mansion and plantation in Leesburg, VA.

I can't wait to go back to Virginia again!  Do you live in an area where you get to experience a fall full of wonderful colors?

Rednesday: Bel Air

Photograph © 2010 by Reprise Vintage

Thought I would get in on Sue Loves Cherries Rednesday fun by sharing one of my true loves...classic cars!
I am so lucky that in my town during the summer months we have a weekly hot rod show. While many women go crazy over diamonds or chocolate, hot cars make me drool!
